Groupe BPCE: an optimized HR Data ecosystem!

Groupe BPCE, a major player in the French banking sector, has undertaken a transformation of its HR Data ecosystem. Faced with heterogeneous tools and practices, the group called on ACT-ON DATA to help it overhaul and optimize its HR decision-making information systems (SID).

The aim: to simplify data access, strengthen data governance and build a scalable architecture integrating advanced data uses.

THE NEED...

Groupe BPCE wanted to modernize its HR Data ecosystem, historically structured around multiple siloed tools and local SIDs, making data management complex and fragmented. Several major challenges needed to be addressed:

  • Harmonization and reliability of HR data: Streamline practices and standardize tools to ensure better traceability and more efficient use of data.
  • Budget optimization: Strike the right balance between a complete overhaul and the upgrading of existing SIDs, within a tight budgetary framework.
  • Develop a pragmatic roadmap: Define a realistic, actionable plan, aligned with HRIS developments, internal reorganizations and business and technical constraints.
  • Security and compliance: Integrate regulatory requirements right from the design stage, particularly those of the RGPD, to guarantee secure data management.

OUR ANSWER...

To meet the group's challenges, ACT-ON DATA deployed a comprehensive, structured approach combining technical expertise and agile methodology:

  • Cross-functional, scalable architecture: design of a centralized, unified analytical ecosystem, enabling HR data to be better exploited across all Group processes, based on the new data platforms recommended by the Group.
  • Expertise in HR Data and analytical solutions: Implementation of modeling adapted to business needs, particularly in the area of Training, and deployment of high-performance analytical tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Project management and coordination: Acting as a facilitator, ACT-ON DATA ensured perfect synchronization between the project's various stakeholders (business lines, data managers, HRIS managers, technical teams), guaranteeing a fluid understanding of the issues and efficient implementation.
  • MVP and iterative approach: The choice of deployment in Minimum Viable Product (MVP) mode on an initial functional scope enabled us to rapidly test the solution on a concrete business case, obtain user feedback and gradually refine the roadmap.

CUSTOMER BENEFITS...

Thanks to this support, this industry leader was able to :

  • Define an actionable roadmap: Build a realistic transformation plan, based on the existing application ecosystem and mobilizing internal teams.
  • Build a scalable HR Data ecosystem: Design an architecture designed to meet future needs, particularly in terms of APIs, artificial intelligence and advanced reporting.
  • Strengthen data security and governance: Implement robust mechanisms to ensure traceability, reliability and regulatory compliance of HR data, including RGPD by design.

With this new approach, Groupe BPCE now has a clear, structured vision of its future in terms of HR Data, with an agile, scalable solution capable of meeting tomorrow's challenges.
